First H1N1 Case in China



On May 11th,China has confirmed the first H1N1 case. Compared with Hong Kong, the government of China took the rapid measure to prevent from the spread of virus.




It is reported that the patient of first case is an overseas student, who is studying in US. On May 7th,the patient took the flight from St.Louis to Tokyo, via St,Paul. On May 8th, he took the flight NWO29 and arrived in Beijing on May 9th.When he went through the custom, lower he did not have the symptom such as fever, headache and malaise. And his temperature is apparently lower than 37degree centigrade. In the same day, he flied to Chengdu. In Chengdu, he is diagnosed as the first N1H1 case in China. The local government received the message and took the emergency measures. The first case is separated and is monitored by the doctor via the electronic equipment.Within several hours, Li KeQiang, the leader of China, came to visit the patient. Meanwhile, the leader Hu made a series of arrangement to the first case. Fortunately, according to the report on May 12th, the first case’s temperature is normal.



The close companions of the patient were also separated in hospital. The customers, together with the first case in the same flight, are searched to reduce the infected rate. The separated room is sterilized by ultraviolet radiation.


According to W.H.O report, there are 30 countries having the H1N1 cases.In total,4694 people were confirmed that they have infected H1N1.Among them,53 people were dead. Recently there is no vaccine of H1N1.It is predicted to develop in several months. So we have no choice but to work together to fight against the disease.
