On July 24th, the volunteers have been injected with the H1N1 vaccine. The vaccines are divided into three styles, that is inactive vaccine with adjuvant (5mg 10mg), pyrolysis vaccine with adjuvant (7.5mg 15mg) and pyrolysis vaccine without adjuvant(15mg 30mg)
The experiment plan called for more than 1600 volunteers at four different age range: 3-11 years old, 12-17 years old,18-60years and above 60.
They will be injected 2 times at the internal of 21 days. aiming to test the availability and dosage of the H1N1 vaccine. In the same day, Hualan biological Engineering Ltd took the clinical experiment for 2000 volunteers. It is reported that by July 21st,8 series of H1N1 vaccines produced by Sinovac have been certificated by Chinese government.
According the manager of Hualan, the vaccines will be certificated by government in September and produced in scale. Finally, they will be put into market. The current vaccines are not temporarily put into market and owned by government for emergency.
Explanation: Why should be injected for 2 times
Because H1N1 is a new virus and most of people are defenseless for it. Injected twice aims to strengthen immunity.
